Helmkamp Auto Service was established in 1967. We are family-owned and operated. We are your single stop destination for quality auto, truck, and RV repair services. We are also a certified NAPA Auto Care Center
Where Customer Service Comes First
Our owner and the most seasoned technician, Gene Helmkamp, graduated from SIUC with his Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology. After serving in the Army Reserves, he also earned his ASE Master Technician and Advanced Technician certifications. In 1967, Gene and his wife, Janet opened the shop where it stands and still operates today.
Helmkamp Auto is a family-owned and owner-operated business that prides itself on giving honest prices for quality work. Janet and Gene's sons, Todd and Mike, grew up in the business and have studied and worked in the industry for most of their lives.
